Dock Worker and Dispatcher at Manitoulin

Join Manitoulin Transport's team as a Dock Worker and Dispatcher, combining 60% dock work with 40% dispatch duties in a fast-paced environment. Load and unload freight, manage outbound trailers, and ensure seamless operations.

In this role at Manitoulin, you will engage in unloading and loading freight, using handheld scanners to track shipments. You'll distribute freight to local drivers and manage warehouse maintenance, ensuring a safe working environment. Computer proficiency is required for label handling and tracking shipments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Unload and load freight with handheld scanner
• Distribute freight to local drivers efficiently
• Mark materials with identifying information
• Count and weigh items for accuracy
• Maintain warehouse safety standards daily

Requirements:

• WHMIS/Dangerous Goods Certificate, Forklift certification
• Proven problem-solving and multitasking abilities
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs regularly
• Experience with AS400 system is a plus
• Reliable transportation with clean driving record
