Hemodialysis Tech
Hemodialysis Technician University Health System is looking for Hemodialysis Technicians. University provides care in the hospital, in our clinics, at our dialysis centers, and sometimes at your home. We see adults and children for routine kidney problems, complex kidney diseases, dialysis and transplant care. Responsibilities Provide chronic hemodialysis treatments to the patients under the direct supervision of the Charge Nurse. Prepare machines: run tests on machines before connecting to dialyzers. Then rinse, prime dialyzer, install all required tubing; connect fluid delivery system and bath for dialysis. Weigh patients and obtain baseline vital signs. Obtain blood samples and other specimens as ordered, then initiate dialysis utilizing established access routes. Qualifications High School Diploma / GED required. AHA BLS Healthcare Provider Card required. New hires with no prior hemodialysis PCT experience must be currently enrolled in or have completed a hemodialysis technician program and obtain certification within 18 months of their hire date.
