RN Homecare- Pediatric Nurse

Job Overview Maxim Healthcare is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to care for adorable pediatric patients in a home setting located in the South Loop of Chicago, IL 60616. Night shifts available! Responsibilities Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. On each assignment, provide skilled nursing care/services in accordance with prescribed orders. Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiological and psychosocial changes in the patient's condition. Collect, analyze, and interpret data and information from healthcare team members and document actual and/or potential nursing diagnoses. Plan, implement, and evaluate patient/client care and/or contracted services. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and monitor and document effectiveness of interventions and progress toward established goals. Intervene as applicable to changes in condition and report such changes to the appropriate supervisor and/or physician. Document all physician collaboration/coordination of care in the medical record and communicate this information as needed. Monitor the safety and effectiveness of the environment and equipment, including universal precautions. Qualifications Currently licensed as an LPN/LVN in the state in which the LPN will practice. Active RN License or Active LPN License. Graduate of an accredited nursing school. Current BLS card. Current CPR certification. Current TB or Chest X‐Ray; PPD or chest X‐ray if applicable. One year prior professional nursing experience preferred.
