Engineer Lead (Saff Software Engineer Sr) Location: Atlanta, GA Hybrid 2: This role requires associates to be in‐office 3 days per week at the Atlanta, GA office, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work‐life balance. Engineer Lead is responsible for end‐to‐end design, development, delivery, and ongoing support of enterprise‐wide technology platforms. This role combines deep technical leadership with strong partnership across business, product, and strategy teams to deliver scalable, high‐quality solutions. How you will make an impact: Maintains active relationships with customers to determine business requirements and leads requirements gathering meetings. Leads requirements gathering meetings and reviews designs with the business. Lead vendor technical evaluations and integration efforts where applicable. Mentor engineers and provide advanced troubleshooting and technical guidance. Lead end‐to‐end system architecture, technical design, and implementation across enterprise platforms. Leads efforts with Web and marketing team to increase the presence of web products. May implement improvements in stability, performance, and scalability across major business‐critical systems. Drive improvements in stability, performance, scalability, and resiliency of business‐critical systems. May implement process to reduce barriers and roadblocks in projects, services, and processes in order to operate more efficiently. Perform and lead code reviews, design reviews, and ensure adherence to engineering best practices. Owns the change request process and coordinates with other teams as necessary. Partner with business stakeholders, product, and strategy teams to deeply understand customer problems and translate them into scalable technical solutions. Design, build, and maintain front‐end and back‐end applications and cloud‐native services. Ensure comprehensive unit, integration, and system testing; oversee successful production implementation. Responsible for delivery of application technology solutions and data information planning effort. Coordinates and manages on‐call support and owns the system monitoring process. Own the technical delivery lifecycle from design through deployment and production support. Own system monitoring, operational readiness, and on‐call coordination. Minimum Requirements Requires a BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field and a minimum of 7 years related experience; multi platform, multi‐dimensional experience, and expert level experience with business and technical applications; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences Experience mentoring others and provide troubleshooting support strongly preferred. Multi database and/or multi language strongly preferred. Strong backend or full‐stack engineering background, with hands‐on proficiency in Python . Hands on proficiency JavaScript/TypeScript , and familiarity with frontend frameworks such as React and Node.js . Experience with modern backend development stack including: Git, GCP and/or AWS, Docker and Kubernetes, Relational and non‐relational databases, Monitoring and alerting tools. Experience delivering integration solutions in healthcare environments. Strong understanding of healthcare data standards and security requirements (HIPAA, HL7, FHIR). Leadership experience. Experience building and operating highly available, cloud‐native system and driving architectural modernization initiatives. Proficiency with modern AI‐assisted / agentic development tools (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) to improve engineering productivity and quality.
