Number of Positions 1 Summary The QA Analyst is responsible for: • Ensuring that product and service quality and food safety standards and procedures are implemented and completed. • Being an active participant in the project Food Safety, Quality, and Regulatory Direction implementation team, both at company's headquarters and, if required, in other locations. Job Responsibilities:
  • Work with the marketing team to ensure compliance with 21 CFR 101 and all applicable US regulations (including Prop. 65) in label design.
  • Read nutritional analysis and using CGPT will set the nutritional values for product labels.
  • Keeping all QA records in the server updated and under control.
  • Assisting the Food Safety, QA, and Reg. Director in document research, for example, during Product Development or Verification.
  • Reviewing and following up on New Item Form (NIF) and Specifications of all active products to ensure that all information is complete according to applicable internal US standards and regulations.
  • Collecting and preparing information for the monthly KPI report of the active vendors results.
  • Working with the warehouse QA Technician to maintain up-to-date communications on product and service food safety and quality (e.g., quality, label, packaging, and shipping) with vendors and following up to ensure all issues are resolved.
  • Reviewing nutrition facts tables on labels in depth and ensuring compliance with CFR regulations, as well as conducting comparison analysis with NBE products.
  • Researching federal laws, product specifications, and studies related to analytical, biological, and characteristic aspects.
  • Performing other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Job Requirements: Education / Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in food / nutrition, or related field.
  • 3+ years of progressive experience in the food & beverages industry.
  • It would be advantageous if the candidate holds a PCQI certificate, has knowledge in FDA/USDA labeling as well as GFSI certification schemes.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Bilingual (English, Spanish)
  • MS Office Tools
  • The candidate should possess strong teamwork as well as good communication skills, together with the ability to assimilate continuous training.
Salary and Benefits • Salary: $60K - $65K according to the experience • Annual Bonus: Based on measures of goal attainment and performance. • Insurance Plan: Health, Dental and Vision • 401K Plan • Vacations: After 1st year, 2 weeks each year. Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 Per Year
