Bottling Maintenance Mechanic

Austin, TX
2nd Shift: Monday – Friday | 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM
$28 – $32/hr (DOE)

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Bottling Maintenance Mechanic to support production operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining bottling and packaging equipment to ensure maximum uptime, efficiency, and safety.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience working with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems in a production setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair malfunctions in bottling and packaging equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance to reduce downtime
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
• Replace and repair motors, gearboxes, conveyors, and drive units
• Perform equipment changeovers for various container sizes
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and downtime records
• Follow GMP, safety, and company compliance standards
• Identify and recommend process improvements
• Support production team as needed to maintain operational efficiency

Qualifications

• 2+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing or production
• Experience with packaging or bottling equipment preferred
• Strong troubleshooting skills (mechanical and electrical)
• Ability to read basic schematics and technical manuals
• Familiarity with conveyors, motors, sensors, and automation components
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs
• OSHA and forklift certification preferred
• Strong attendance and reliability
