Role Description The Right-of-Way Agent Sr. is a full-time, Contract hybrid role based in San Antonio, TX, with flexibility for partial work from home. This role is responsible for managing and negotiating land and easement acquisitions for pipeline, energy, infrastructure, and electrical projects, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day tasks include researching land records, preparing and reviewing ROW documents, coordinating with landowners, public officials, and internal stakeholders, and resolving complex title or access issues. The Right-of-Way Agent Sr. will support project planning and execution by tracking progress, maintaining accurate documentation, and communicating status updates to project managers and clients. The role may also involve mentoring junior agents, participating in field visits, and representing the company in meetings with landowners and community members.
Qualifications
- Extensive right-of-way and land acquisition experience, including negotiating easements, resolving landowner concerns, and handling complex title or access issues.
- Strong research and documentation skills, including reviewing deeds, plats, title reports, and survey information, and maintaining detailed project records.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with landowners, public agencies, clients, and internal project teams.
- Solid understanding of relevant regulations, permitting processes, and industry standards for pipeline, energy, utility, and infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency with standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office) and comfort learning project management or land management systems.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently in both office and field environments.
- Prior experience in ROW or land services for energy, utilities, or infrastructure projects; senior-level or lead experience is strongly preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate or bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Land Management, Business, Real Estate) is preferred or equivalent work experience.
