The Clinic Medical Assistant plays a vital role in supporting physicians and ensuring efficient patient care within a medium-sized team. This position primarily focuses on direct patient care activities such as patient intake, vital signs measurement, and specimen collection, while also handling administrative tasks like maintaining electronic health records using eCW. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, skilled in patient communication, and compliant with HIPAA regulations, contributing to a seamless clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient intake and record vital signs accurately
• Document detailed medical histories and ensure up-to-date records
• Collect specimens safely and assist with laboratory procedures
• Manage clinical inventory and supplies efficiently
• Provide patient education regarding procedures and care plans
• Maintain and update electronic health records using eCW
• Support physicians during examinations and treatments

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in medical assisting
• Proficient in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, specifically eCW
• Strong patient communication skills
• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical terminology
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team
• High attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
