Assistant or Associate Professor, Tenure‐Track Faculty Position Vanderbilt Transplant Center, Department of Surgery – Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC). Full‐time (1.0 FTE), 12‐month position located in Nashville, TN. Responsibilities Develop an independent research program focused on bioethics and health services research within organ transplantation and organ donation. Apply for extramural grants (e.g., R01 or equivalent) to support the program. Collaborate with the Director of Transplant Outcomes Research and teams in the Vanderbilt Center for Transplant Science and the Center for Biomedical Ethics and Society. Contribute to building the research portfolio of the Vanderbilt Center for Transplant Science. Assist in advancing research excellence at the center through collaborations and interdisciplinary work. Qualifications PhD or DSc (or equivalent). Record of scholarship in bioethics, with empirical research interest in ethical issues preferred. Skills in collaborating across disciplines and a strong commitment to team‐based research. Experience or ability to secure independent funding and establish or continue an independently funded research program (R01 or equivalent). Collaborative and collegial attitude, with evidence of successful teamwork in research settings. Other Information Tenure and additional leadership opportunities will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
