Community Therapist
FITT Community Therapist FITT (Family Intensive Treatment Team) is an intensive, 90‐day in‐home therapeutic program for youth who are at risk of out‐of‐home placement (e.g., hospitalization, residential, foster care). Position is full time, salaried, with a flexible caseload of approximately four clients. Responsibilities Provide individual and family counseling services within the community, utilizing a strength‐based, trauma‐informed approach. Work in partnership with youth and their families to develop common approaches to problem‐solving, crisis de‐escalation, and effective communication strategies. Collaborate closely with Family Support Specialist (FSS) to support caregivers/guardians. Maintain a caseload of 4 youth/families. Assist with on‐call rotations. Attend all staff meetings, agency training, and community training as assigned by FITT Director. Work collaboratively and constructively with colleagues to accomplish program goals. Qualifications and Education Requirements Master's degree in mental health counseling, psychology, social work, or a behavioral health field with a focus on therapeutic treatment. Strong working knowledge of clinical diagnoses using the DSM and interventions to address mental health conditions. A passion for working with youth and their families.
