Full Time Clinical Assistant opportunity in Cranberry Township, PA!
- Location: Cranberry Township, PA 16066
- Hours: Monday to Friday (full time, 40 hours per week)
We are currently seeking Medical Assistants, Patient Care Technicians, or Ophthalmic Technicians to join a growing Ophthalmology practice in Cranberry Township! This is a full-time opportunity working Monday through Friday in a fast-paced clinical environment focused on providing exceptional patient care.
Please note - we are open to candidates from a variety of backgrounds, as comprehensive training will be provided!
Schedule:
- Monday - Friday
- Must have open availability between 7:45 AM - 6:00 PM
- End time varies based on patient volume, but latest end time will be 6:00 PM
Travel Requirements:
- Main office is in Cranberry Township, but individual must be comfortable traveling up to 25% of the time to the nearest secondary office location.
Responsibilities:
- Initiate patient evaluations, documenting chief complaint, history of present illness, review of systems, medications, past surgeries, and ocular findings accurately within the EMR
- Perform pre-exam testing including visual acuity assessments, tonometry, pupillary dilation, and additional testing as directed by providers
- Prepare and assist with procedures, including intravitreal injections
- Document medication lot numbers, expiration dates, and related drug information within the EHR
- Clean surgical instruments in preparation for sterile processing
- Maintain and organize clinical inventory and supplies
- Assist with maintenance of clinical exam equipment
- Open and close exam and injection rooms daily
- Assist with ophthalmic photography if trained
Qualifications:
- Previous medical office clinical experience required
- Previous ophthalmology experience preferred
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems such as EPIC, NextGen, or similar platforms preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Professional demeanor and appearance required
- Excellent typing and documentation skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced patient care environment
