Job Details: Level: Experienced | Job Location: Clearview Woodland Hills OP - Woodland Hills, CA 91364 | Position Type: Per Diem | Education Level: Graduate Degree | Salary Range: $90.00 - $110.00 Hourly | Job Category: Health Care Position Summary The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is primarily responsible for conducting psychiatric evaluations, medication consultation, and collaboration with community prescribers. The NP ensures PHP admissions are medically necessary and clinically appropriate. The NP provides pharmacological treatment, if indicated, and requests and reviews any needed lab work. Within the organization, the NP initiates and maintains frequent and close working relationships with staff, clients, families, facility, and peers throughout the organization. Outside the organization, the NP initiates and maintains strong professional relationships with clinical providers, referral partners, and vendors as needed. Essential Responsibilities Conduct all Psychiatric Evaluations and ensure medical necessity for all individuals enrolled in the PHP. Provide medication management services for individuals enrolled in PHP as needed; available on-site at least weekly and by telephone in unusual or urgent situations related to medication. Provide consultation, education, and related information to patients and families, if involved, to increase success of treatment and program engagement. Direct and collaborate with staff on clinical activities and interventions. Provide consultation to community referrals as needed to ensure successful disposition of former patients. Complete medical record and other documentation in a timely and accurate manner as needed to meet clinical, payer, and other requirements. Participate in marketing and outreach events on occasion. Perform other activities as requested by the Director and assume other appropriate medical responsibilities as necessary. Qualifications Board Eligible or Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner; all necessary requirements must be met to practice adult psychiatry in CA. Experience with mental health PHP/IOP and/or psychiatric hospital experience desired. Superior communication skills working with patients, family members, community stakeholders, and staff. Minimum of two (2) years of management experience in a behavioral health setting such as a hospital, outpatient clinic, or related service provider required. Minimum of two (2) years of experience treating clients, preferably including young adults and adults in mental health. Experience with co-occurring disorders and/or substance use disorders is a plus. Performs duties independently, responsibly, and with a high level of integrity. A valid Driver's license and a generally clean driving record are required. Employees may be required to drive personal or company vehicles. State licensing DHS and DSS prohibit individuals with specific criminal charges, conducted by Livescan fingerprint checks. Exemptions offered.
