Assistant Maintenance Technician – Pittsburgh, PA 15232

Pay: $21/hr | Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–4:30 PM

Start Date: ASAP | Contract‑to‑Hire Opportunity

BG Staffing is seeking a dependable Assistant Maintenance Technician to support an apartment community in Pittsburgh, PA (15232). This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on work, takes pride in quality repairs, and is ready to grow within a strong maintenance team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with completing work orders and general maintenance repairs
• Support unit turns and make‑ready tasks
• Perform basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance troubleshooting
• Help maintain grounds, common areas, and community equipment
• Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards
• Provide friendly, professional service to residents and staff

Requirements

• Previous apartment maintenance or related experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license and active auto insurance required
• Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
• Positive attitude and strong customer service skills
