The Overnight Traffic Monitor plays a crucial role in maintaining safe and efficient traffic flow during overnight hours. This independent position reports directly to the Traffic Manager and is responsible for utilizing radar speed detection and manual observation to monitor traffic conditions. The role involves ensuring compliance with safety standards, managing shift duties, coordinating with emergency services when necessary, and accurately documenting incidents and data.

Responsibilities

• Conduct traffic surveillance using radar speed detection and manual observation
• Perform safety inspections and enforce compliance regulations
• Report incidents promptly and coordinate with emergency services as needed
• Monitor and maintain traffic monitoring equipment
• Log data accurately for ongoing traffic analysis
• Communicate effectively with the Traffic Manager and team
• Manage overnight shift operations independently
• Respond quickly to emergencies and traffic disruptions

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in traffic monitoring
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• Proficiency with surveillance systems and incident reporting
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Effective time management and teamwork abilities

Work hours are: 10:00PM-7:00AM Monday-Friday (May have weekends)
