Nursery Manager

• Annual Salary: £36,000 - £45,000, dependent on experience
• Location: Caterham
• Job Type: Full-time

We are seeking an experienced Nursery Manager to lead our dynamic team at a well-established nursery in Caterham. This role is ideal for a dedicated leader who is passionate about early childhood education and aims to provide high-quality care and learning experiences for young children.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Oversee the overall management and daily operations of the nursery, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children.
• Lead, inspire, and manage a team of early years professionals, promoting continuous professional development and fostering a culture of teamwork.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including Ofsted requirements, health and safety policies, and safeguarding procedures.
• Develop and implement educational programs and activities that align with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Maintain effective communication with parents and carers, providing regular updates on nursery developments and child progress.
• Manage the nursery budget, financial planning, and resource allocation efficiently.
• Regularly assess and review nursery practices and policies, making recommendations for improvements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Nursery Manager or in a similar managerial role within early years settings.
• Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent; higher qualifications such as EYPS/ EYT are highly desirable.
• Thorough understanding of the EYFS, safeguarding practices, and Ofsted regulations.
• Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks, and motivate a team.
