Travel RN - Med/Surg Tele

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Medical/Surgical Telemetry position in Washington, DC, requiring a minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg Tele experience and active DC RN licensure. Job Details • Department 6200 of an acute care hospital setting, • Medical/Surgical Telemetry patient population, • Schedule is three 12-hour day shifts per week (36 hours/week), • 13-week contract, Job Requirements • Active DC RN license required (no pending licenses accepted), • Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) - AHA-issued certifications only, • CPI certification required for this position, • Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Tele experience in a U.S. hospital required, • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, • Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required, • BSN highly desired, • Cerner EMR experience required, • Active U.S. SSN required, • Date of birth required for consideration, • Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the previous 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer, Additional Information • Performs initial and ongoing patient assessments, including review of systems, and documents findings per policy, • Delivers age-appropriate, competent care by interpreting patient information and determining appropriate nursing interventions, • Completes admission assessments within established timeframes in accordance with policy and procedures, • Candidates must reside more than 25 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel position, • All certifications submitted must be AHA-issued
