Responsibilities:

Perform accurate patient intake including vital signs, medical histories, and symptom documentation.

Assist healthcare providers during examinations, procedures, and treatments with professionalism and attention to detail.

Prepare examination rooms, ensuring cleanliness, sterilization, and proper equipment setup.

Collect, process, and label laboratory specimens as directed.

Administer medications and injections as authorized and instructed.

Manage and update electronic health records with precision and confidentiality.

Provide patient education on basic health topics and post-visit instructions.

Follow clinic protocols and safety procedures diligently.

Support administrative tasks as needed to maintain smooth clinic operations.

Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to ensure high-quality care.

Required Skills:

Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential or equivalent.

Minimum of 3 years of clinical medical assisting experience in outpatient or clinical settings.

Proficiency in vital sign measurement, clinical procedures, and specimen collection.

Strong understanding of healthcare documentation and EHR systems.

Excellent communication skills and compassionate patient interaction.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Knowledge of adhering to clinical safety and infection control standards.

Nice to Have Skills:

Experience working in outpatient clinics, primary care, or specialty practices.

Bilingual abilities to support diverse patient populations.

Familiarity with common medical software and electronic health records.

Additional certifications such as CPR/First Aid.

Preferred Education and Experience:

Completion of a recognized Medical Assistant certification program.

At least three years of hands-on clinical assisting experience.

Previous experience in outpatient or primary care settings preferred.

Other Requirements:

Availability to work scheduled shifts on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

32 hours guaranteed per week, with an ongoing assignment length.

Mandatory orientation during the first 1-3 shifts.

No overtime or weekend work is required, though opportunities may be available.

Ability to stand and move throughout the clinical environment; physical endurance to support daily clinical duties.

Valid MA certification and compliance with all healthcare regulations.

Must be comfortable working in multiple site locations, including the primary worksite and an additional site in Balch Springs, TX.
