Advanced Supply Chain International (ASCI) is currently seeking applicants to be considered for an Inventory Support Specialist role. The Inventory Support Specialist assists the Project Manager / Inventory Coordinator in conducting physical inventory assessments, maintaining accurate stock records, and supporting day-to-day supply management across multiple client sites. This is a hands-on, field-based position requiring strong attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work independently while supporting inventory operations, receiving activities, data entry, and stock organization.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist the Project Manager / Inventory Coordinator during scheduled site visits at client locations.
- Conduct physical inventory counts and verify inventory accuracy using approved inventory tracking methods.
- Photograph and document storage areas, inventory conditions, and item placement.
- Identify and report expired, damaged, mislabeled, or improperly stored inventory.
- Assist with organizing storage areas, labeling shelves, applying bin location tags, and supporting FIFO inventory practices.
- Support the removal and disposition of expired or excess inventory in accordance with approved procedures.
- Receive and inspect incoming deliveries and verify quantities and item descriptions against purchase orders.
- Document shortages, damages, and discrepancies and communicate findings to management.
- Assist with price verification and vendor pricing research as directed.
- Enter inventory transactions accurately into inventory management systems.
- Maintain organized physical and electronic inventory records.
- Support preparation of monthly inventory reports and documentation.
- Communicate inventory, storage, or safety concerns promptly to management.
- Follow all ASCI safety policies and client site requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, retail stock management, or a related field.
- Ability to perform accurate physical inventory counts and maintain detailed records.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data entry applications.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify inventory discrepancies.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation with the ability to travel between client sites regularly.
- Ability to successfully pass a State and Federal fingerprint background check in accordance with 45 CFR 1302.90.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds frequently and perform physical activities including standing, walking, bending, crouching, and reaching for extended periods.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while supporting a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in educational, healthcare, or government program environments.
- Familiarity with FIFO inventory rotation, expiration tracking, or shelf-life management.
- Experience receiving and inspecting deliveries and documenting discrepancies.
- Experience working across multiple locations with limited day-to-day supervision.
